Participant Qualification Requirements


Scout Participants MUST:

  • have a current BSA membership with a Boy Scout Troop or Varsity Scout Team;
  • be at least a First Class Scout;
  • be at least 12 years old by the first day of Jamboree (or an 11-year-old Scout that has graduated the 6th grade), and has not reached his/her 18th birthday by the last day of Jamboree;
  • be approved by the Unit Leader and local Council;
  • have appropriate parent/guardian complete the online parental consent that will be sent in an e-mail during the application process;
  • participate in pre-Jamboree training activities with local Council or Unit Leader;
  • file a BSA Health and Medical form with the local Council within one year of attending Jamboree
  • submit all registration fees per the Council's payment schedule.

Venturing Participants MUST:

  • have a current BSA membership with a Venturing Crew;
  • be approved by the Unit Leader and local Council;
  • have appropriate parent/guardian complete the online parental consent that will be sent in an e-mail during the application process;
  • participate in pre-Jamboree training activities with local Council or Unit Leader;
  • file a BSA Health and Medical form with the local Council within one year of attending Jamboree;
  • submit all registration fees per the Council's payment schedule.
