The Boy Scouts of America has been positively impacting our community here in Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois since 1910. As the Scouting program grew nationally, the administration of the program at the local town and city levels became impractical.  In 1967, the Illowa Council was formed and now supports all of the Cub Scout Packs, Boy Scout Troops, Venture Crews, and Exploring Posts in 13 counties in Iowa and Illinois.

For the last 50 years, the Illowa Council, Boy Scouts of America, has prepared young people to make ethical and moral choices throughout their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law. In this, our 50th year of service, the Illowa Council is continuing this mission by focusing on learning from the past and preparing for the future.
