The Illowa Council is happy to present the new Saukenuk District Executive.
When you see her, please give her a big Scouting welcome!
My name is Sara Cross and I am 27 years old! I am a wife to Dylan Cross and a new mom to August (Augie) Cross. I grew up in Moline IL. and attended Alleman High School during my freshman year and then transferred over to Moline High School for sophomore-senior year! I went on to Northern Illinois University where I received a full Division I scholarship for tennis. I majored in Organizational Corporate Communications while playing tennis and graduated in four years (2012). I decided to continue my education and go for my Masters degree! I became the student athlete, assistant coach at Northern Illinois while obtaining my masters in Sport Management. I graduated with my masters in 2014.
After graduation I got a full time job with Wilson in Chicago IL and got married. My husband and I agreed that we wanted to live in the Quad Cities so I left Wilson and started coaching at the Quad City Tennis Club. About a year later we got pregnant with Augie! I am currently the girl’s tennis coach at John Deere Middle School! I also sit on the board of Moline Schools Foundation! I love being involved with my community and making a difference! I am so excited to start this next chapter with Boy Scouts of America!
