Popcorn Fundraiser

Illowa Council 2024 Popcorn Program

Pecatonica River Popcorn!

There are plenty of good reasons for your Scouts to take part in the annual popcorn fundraiser! Besides the money that can be earned for camp and Scouting activities throughout the year, Scouts learn valuable skills like teamwork, goal setting, time management and salesmanship – just to name a few.

On this resource page, you will find useful information to aid you and your unit in the popcorn sale. Make sure your unit has a Popcorn Kernel to help organize your unit’s popcorn sale.

The site prpopcorn.com is where your unit commits to the sale, orders popcorn and registers Scouts for the Winner’s Circle.

Popcorn Sales Help Meet Many Scouting Objectives

More and more Scouting Units utilize popcorn sales to raise funds for equipment, activities and other needs. Just last year 75 Units from our Council profited by selling popcorn. But, that’s not all . . .

Scouts Can Earn Much More Than Money

Few activities demonstrate to Scouts the value of planning, organization, and commitment more clearly than a Unit’s combined efforts in a popcorn sale. Scouts develop and practice new skills, learn about sales and marketing, and reach new levels of personal success. Consider which popcorn activities might count toward Scouts BSA Merit Badges. Before proceeding make sure your Merit Badge Counselor has approved your ideas.

There are also advancement opportunities for WEBELOS and Cub Scouts.
