Calling all Scouts, Venturers, Adult Leaders, and OA Members! Camp Loud Thunder needs you! Help us keep our camp in tip-top shape by coming to a Work Day. We’ve got projects for people with all skill levels. Staying for the whole day? We’ll feed you lunch if you RSVP!

All OA Members and their families are welcome to join us for our annual Winter Dinner! This fun evening will be filled with fellowship, games, food, auctions, and awards. We’d love you to be a part of it!

This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude that is necessary for the safe use of pistols in target shooting. You’ll learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling, pistol parts/operation, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, range rules, and gun cleaning.

The NRA Range Safety Officer program was developed in response to the demand for a nationally recognized range safety officer certification. NRA Range Safety Officers are the people who possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations.

Scouts BSA and Venturers can join us at Camp Loud Thunder to learn about wilderness survival in cold weather! We’ll be learning how to build a shelter (that you can sleep in overnight if you choose to!), fire starting, first aid, and more!

If you’ve successfully taken the NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course and want to dive deeper into your ability to teach others how to properly and safely use pistols, this course is for you!

Join Illowa Council and Crawford Brew Works for the Pintwood Derby! This is an adults only event where you can race a car, enjoy some local craft beer, and have a great time – all while supporting Scouts on a local level!

The Annual Scouting Clays Classic, set for August 16-17, 2024, supports over 4,000 youth and leaders in Scouting through events like shooting competitions, auctions, and dinners. This significant fundraiser, having raised $1 million to date, offers diverse participation options, from shooting teams to attending as a guest. Contact details and registration links are provided, with a special emphasis on a 3-Gun Drawing, where tickets are available for purchase to win firearms.

Wood Badge is an advanced, national leadership course open only to Scouting volunteers and professionals.

Scouters from Cub Scouting, Scouts BSA, Venturing, Sea Scouts, and Explorers, and district and council Scouters all are welcome and belong here. This course will help you better understand how all the Scouting programs tie together. It will provide you with many useful leadership tools to help enable our youth to have the best possible Scouting experience. There is no better time to attend a Wood Badge course and make a difference in your unit than when you are a Cub Scout Leader.

The Utica Ridge HyVee location is procuring limited edition and select barrel bourbons for our guests to enjoy at Mississippi River Distillery’s Downtown Davenport location. Each attendee will have the opportunity to taste and learn about these special brands.
